Facelift Surgery
Seattle Facelift SurgeryMen and women who show signs of aging are often looking for ways to reverse unpleasant traits such as wrinkles, fine lines, and jowls. The most common method of facial rejuvenation is facelift surgery (“rhytidectomy”). Usually, a qualified and experienced cosmetic plastic surgeon makes incisions along the natural hairline and ears. This procedure allows the surgeon to adjust the skin, underlying muscles, and tissues to a more youthful position. Patients may anticipate a more youthful look as a result from the removal of loose, excess skin in the face and neck area, as well as smoother skin around the mouth. Facelift surgery results typically last five to ten years.

Breast Augmentation Surgery
Seattle Breast Augmentation SurgeryWomen who feel they have small and/or asymmetrical breasts often opt to undergo a cosmetic plastic surgery such as breast augmentation surgery (“augmentation mammaplasty”). A trained plastic surgeon can use either saline or silicone gel breast implants to help add volume to the bustline. Incisions techniques include: periareolar (around the nipple); inframammary (under the breast); transaxillary (in the armpit); and transumbilical (through the belly button). The breast implants can be placed beneath the breast tissue (subglandular) or beneath the chest muscle (submuscular). Patients may anticipate long-lasting results with breast enlargement surgery.

Tummy-Tuck Surgery
Seattle Tummy-Tuck SurgeryOftentimes, due to pregnancy, massive weight loss, and/or aging, the abdominal muscles are stretched and eventually no longer contract despite how often an individual exercises. In addition, many women who experience multiple pregnancies are also left with loose, excess skin in the midsection. Tummy tuck surgery (“abdominoplasty”) is performed through an incision made along the lower abdomen from hipbone to hipbone; the skin is separated from the underlying muscle, which is then retightened. The plastic surgeon then removes excess skin and the patient is left with a flatter, better-contoured abdomen.

Liposuction Surgery
Seattle Liposuction SurgeryWhen natural means of weight loss such as healthy eating and regular exercise no longer provide the results an individual desires, it may be time to consider a cosmetic plastic surgery procedure. Liposuction (“lipoplasty”) removes stubborn pockets of localized fat in various areas of the body. Depending on the technique used, a trained and experienced plastic surgeon will insert a long tube called a cannula to suction fat cells. Some of the common methods include ultrasound assisted liposuction, VASER ® liposculpture, or power-assisted liposuction. This body contouring procedure can provide patients with a more slender body shape; however, it should be noted that this is not meant to replace natural methods of weight loss.
